Spacecraft Cassini has sent Amazing images of Planet Saturn

New York – Spacecraft Cassini has sent amazing pictures of “Saturn’s Moon” at the last phase of its mission. Scientists are surprised and emotional to see the latest images.

Cassini (in its 11 years long mission for Saturn) passed at a distance of 500 kilometer from the spotted surface of Saturn’s moon “Dione” and took many close pictures of it. This was the fifth round of Cassini. Cassini is conducting its last operations because in 2017 Cassini will dive into the atmosphere of Saturn to destroy itself.

Carolyn Porco the leader of the mission team told she was amazed and emotional to see the latest images. She thinks that who will see these rare images will also be emotional. Especially knowing the fact that these are the final images for a long time of this planet located so far from Earth. She added that from these final images Cassini has provided extremely reliable and valuable information.

Saturn's Moon Dione
Before this in 2011, Cassini attempted to go near Dione and the ship of American, European and Italian Space Agency had reached near 100 km of the moon. Dione width is 1122 kilometers. Its outer surface is icy and inner surface is rocky. Cassini has also found minor traces of oxygen in Dione atmosphere and found some indications about its inner surface that might be dynamic because certain geographic phenomena has changed caused by internal processes.

Next year, Cassini will enter Saturn orbit itself and gradual will enter in the circles of the planet. When the aircraft fuel in 2017 will be over then the ground controller command Cassini to dive into the planet's atmosphere where it will be destroyed.

As the Cassini will move towards planet Saturn. It will grow too hot; it will melt down, and will be destroyed because of the extreme pressure. Scientists say that this mission is end in such way to ensure that any debris of Cassini could not fall on the Saturn's moons Titan 2 and Enceladus.
