Obama has signed the orders of making World's fastest computer by 2025
USA President Barack Obama has signed the orders of making World's fastest computer by 2025.

At this time, fastest computer is in China. The US computer will be twenty times faster than this Chinese computer.

It would be capable of making one quintillion (a billion billion) calculations per second - a figure which is known as one exaflop.

For research and building, this computer a new body called the National Strategic Computing Initiative (NSCI) will be set up.

US wants to use this super computer in complex simulations as well as for scientific research and national security.

This is also hoped that this computer will help in the accurate prediction of weather and will also help in diagnosing cancer by analyzing x-rays.

According to Richard Kenway at the University of Edinburgh, this is the right time for making of such a computer. This computer can be helpful in the development of personalized medicines, tailored to specific individuals.

Twenty times faster than present fastest computer
At National Computer Center China, "Tianhe-2" is the fastest computer in the world at this time. Its speed is 33.86 petaflops (quadrillions of calculations per second), almost twice as fast as the second-quickest machine, which is American.

"Tianhe-2" meaning in Chinese language is Galaxy. China's National Defense University has developed this computer and has been placed in the southeastern city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province.

This Computer (Tianhe-2) has Intel processor but Company has designed its CPU (Central processing unit) itself.

This year in April US Government refused to allow Intel to help china to increase the capacity of the supercomputer.

Intel applied for an export license to export thousands of chips to update Tianhe-2. However, the US Department of Commerce rejected the request by saying that this computer is used for nuclear research.
