Multi dimensional shapes can be seen on the surface of Pluto |
Multi dimensional shapes can be seen on the surface of Pluto which was named on the Soviet satellite Sputnik.
The edges of these shapes are blackish and hilly. Which are spread on 3 to 20 kilometers of area.
Scientists say that the rise in surface can be because of the heat from down.
However, it may be the result of cooling and contraction of matter.
Team of scientists say that they can not say anything without getting more details and they are not in a hurry to reach any conclusion.
New Horizon’s Geology, Geophysical and photography Team Leader Jeff Moore says that “ When i saw the images of sputnik plains, I decided that i will say it “Not easy to explain plains”.
During a Media briefing at NASA headquarters in Washington DC, NASA also showed the image of Nixon, a moon of Pluto.

Scientist Alan Stern said that we should be hopeful because the high resolution images that we have today were not 3 months before.
According to information received. This included new estimates of the shock wave that occurs as solar wind buffets Pluto’s leaking nitrogen atmosphere. And speaking of leaking nitrogen, the team estimates that 500 tons of the stuff is slipping into space every hour. “For comparison, the escaping atmosphere from Mars is about one ton per hour,” says Fran Bagenal, one of New Horizons’ atmospheric scientists. Which, over the course of Pluto’s existence, “adds up to a substantial mountain of ice removed through evaporation,” she says. There’s still no telling how Pluto is regenerating its nitrogen atmosphere, nor for how long it can continue to do so.

New Horizon on Pluto has revealed the presence of carbon monoxide |
According to Fran Bagenal, a co-investigator at the University of Colorado if we can asses the loss (Pluto Surface) according to the Solar System then it can from 1000 feet to 9000 feet, so that's a substantial mountain - of nitrogen ice that's been removed."
This is not enough to take away all of Pluto's atmosphere, but it is very likely to have effects at the surface where ices continue to vaporize.
According to Greenwich standard time on July 14 at 11:50 in the morning, The New Horizon came the closest to the planet Pluto and its distance was only 12,500 km.
New Horizon at 14 kilometers per second speed passing through Pluto, draw detailed pictures of the planet and also collected other scientific information.
